Guardians of Syndrana
Note that the Kappi, Birgir, Heilari, and Kennari all have secondary titles that describe their level within their rank. Wolves may progress this title by showing excellent leadership, loyalty, and dedication. The titles are as follows:
Efst (aka “the Top”): These are the rank leaders. They are exceptionally talented members of their rank and are often looked up to for leadership by the others.
Gildi (aka “the Force”): The general population of their rank. These members have proven to be quite capable of doing their jobs.
Nemandi (aka “the Students): the wolves between 1-2 years that are still in training for this rank. They will be promoted to Gildi when proven their capability.
This system, while perhaps more complex than most, is deeply written into the traditions of the Guardians of Syndrana. Efst, Gildi, and Nemandi are all titles that will just go before a wolf’s actual rank title. For example a lead warrior will be officially called a Efst Kappi, while a supplier in training will be called a Nemandi Birgir.
Eigandi • The Alphas
The Eigandi are the highest ranking wolves charged with protecting, leading, and making decisions for the pack. These wolves are chosen to join this rank based on their trustworthiness and loyalty. There can be up to four Eigandi at any given time.
Closed: This rank must be earned in the rp.Lesandi • The Betas
The Lesandi are the right-hand-wolves to the Eigandi. They enforce law and help with important decision making and planning. Each new Eigandi will choose to promote a specific trusted wolf to be a Lesandi, and should that Eigandi step down, die, or leave, the Lesandi often takes their place.
Closed: This rank must be earned in the rp.Vitur • The Elders
The Vitur are the older and wiser of the pack, and are considered equal counterparts to the Lesandi. They use their experience to help decision making, and may also assist in training the youth of the pack, often in their field of expertise. Vitur are no longer required to have any responsibilities beyond this, but they may still opt to if they wish.
OPEN!Kappi • The Warriors
Kappi wolves are the warriors of the pack, and are in charge of patrolling, enforcing, and maintaining the territories boundaries. In times of dispute these wolves will be the ones on the front line of the battlefield, so they must be strong, dedicated, and thoroughly committed to their training.
Efst KappiBirgir • The Suppliers
Closed: This rank must be earned in the rp.
Gildi Kappi
OPEN!
The Birgir are in charge of supplying the pack with everything and anything they may need. This includes food, herbs, and knowledge, so these wolves should be well rounded both mentally and physically in order to complete whatever duties are required of them. If they aren’t hunting, these wolves can often be found patrolling with the Kappi, fetching supplies for the Heilari, or even running special tasks for the higher ranks.
Efst BirgirHeilari • The Medics
Closed: This rank must be earned in the rp.
Gildi Birgir
OPEN!
The Heilari rank is for wolves who know how to heal by any mean of the word. Most often these wolves are well trained in medicine and help the pack by healing the ill and wounded. These wolves get their own den to organize and store the herbs they find, and are often very intelligent.
Efst HeilariKennari • The Teachers
Closed: This rank must be earned in the rp.
Gildi Heilari
OPEN!
Kennari are often considered the pup-sitters of the pack, though their duties extend far beyond that role. They help not only to watch and help raise the young, but also to guide them down their path in life by teaching them all about the packs traditions, ranks, and other workings of life. The Kennari must be good with pups and patient enough to withstand their endless curiosity as they raise the future generations of the pack.
Efst KennariAlmennt • The Subordinates
Closed: This rank must be earned in the rp.
Gildi Kennari
OPEN!
Almennt wolves are the unranked subordinates, often either training for a new rank or undecided/uninterested in joining any of the other ranks, though no less important to the pack. When they’re not helping out or keeping an eye on the other ranks, the Almennt often hang around the densite and do other miscellaneous tasks, like run messages, help entertain puppies, or keep the peace among other members. Almennt wolves may choose to switch to another rank at any given time if they've trained and been deemed competent, and wolves who decide to leave/retire from their other rank will often become an Almennt.
OPEN!Ungur • The Youths
The youths of the pack are called the Ungur. These wolves are often within the age range of newborns to yearlings, and are still learning how life and survival works. They are tasked with important duties such as having fun, pestering the Kennari, and hunting mighty beasts such as bugs. Once an Ungur reaches the age of one, they are required to either enter another rank as a Nemandi, or join the Almennt rank.
