Seven
A sickly doe carcass lay in the shade and by this time Seven had already had her fill. She had been resting for a few hours and woke up at dawn, the sun still a few minutes away from meeting the horizon. It was shameful and annoying being a loner, but most of all it was boring. It's only been a few weeks of course, but how was Seven supposed to spend her time? Just surviving isn't that fun; the most interesting thing she's done since being exiled was kill that stupid runt deer.
So with nothing else to do she started walking. After stretching and eating some more of the carcass of course. It began raining a little, which Seven took as a nice surprise. She didn't love the rain or anything but maybe her travels to wherever wouldn't be laced with annoying little animals to bother her. Plus, rain felt safe. Always feeling the drops on her pelt, always hearing where they fall nearby. Not that she needed the comfort of course!! Seven is perfectly of beating ass without rain, thank you.
She hiked on, grunting over rocks and stepping carefully down ledges. Okay, so she would need to get used to being alone. Until now someone has always had her back -- there was no guarantee they'd protect her, but they had her back. Seven would need to retrain herself in some areas. Paying more attention to her surroundings was the biggest part, but she needed to make decisions for herself now too. Deciding if she should kill a bunny, or if she should take on a stranger. There was nobody to report to now, and that made things feel pointless and dumb. What's the point of living if all you're doing is getting from one day to the next?
The sun made it over the distant mountains then, creating a lovely scene of orange and pink in the clouds above, a golden haze colored the morning. Rain droplets sparkled and made tiny rainbows near the trees and over puddles. Seven sighed and carried on -- she was never one to stop and smell the roses.
