Blythe
His large paws carried him across the surface of the white snow, dull and dreary under the clouded grey skies. It crunched under his weight and he sank in slightly with each step, but for Blythe, this amount of snow was child's play. He'd trudged through snow high enough to bury the average wolf before. He deeply inhaled the crisp air, so cold it left his nose feeling dry but he loved it.
It escaped in a cloud of white before dissipating into nothing. His eyes were kept forward, though his ears twitched and turned to the sounds of the woods, mostly quiet save for the rustling of sticks and conifer branches... just small animals that didn't hibernate or were stirred from their slumber. The scent of prey whet his appetite and hunger gnawed at his stomach despite having just ate earlier that day, but he could always go for more...
Going after such small prey wasn't worth it. It was too much effort and required speed and agility he simply didn't have, for a meal that left him feeling as hungry as he did before.
「鹿が見つかったらいいのに。殺したいという衝動を感じます。」 he said lowly, sniffing and searching. He put his nose to the ground for a few moments. With the snow, it was difficult to find a good trail to follow but it wasn't impossible. It put a thought in his head, a sentiment he had always had yet could never find a wolf that understood, save for his childhood comrades.
「わからないオオカミが冬に言うお腹すいている。」 said Blythe, raising his posture again and focusing ahead of him. 「俺は狩猟が簡単だと思う。獲物は弱まる。時には彼らは飢餓で死ぬ。それは俺たちにとって絶好の機会だ。」
He paused, ear flicking to a rustle in the trees. Just the wind, nothing too exciting. Blythe had yet to find a trail, but he knew eventually he could find something. He only needed to remain vigilant. He continued with his previous train of thought. 「奮闘は良いだ。彼らは強くなることを学ぶか、または彼らは死ぬ。彼らは彼らの無能さで冬を非難する。」
