Try not to be deceived by his peppy, childish act Cosmo plays. For the most part, its fake and not to be taken lightly. Upright he's an actor and always has been good at that role, pulling off the cute innocence of a child is something easy to do even though he annoys himself with his own behavior sometimes. Despite how he'll act around strangers, Cosmo is completely anti-social and tends to distance himself from other people. He'd rather push others away then try to make close friends, or rather see someone as his friend in the first place. Growing up in a love-less environment did a huge toll, warping himself to think that his intelligence makes him better than other people and believing love doesn't exist. He's not the most patient individual, getting irritated if things take too long, playing into his competitive nature, as Cosmo will never say no to a challenge for the sake of his own pride. Despite this, Cosmo's nature tends to be fairly calm and to-himself. He doesn't like revealing his feelings to other people, and can sometimes make himself come across as cold and emotionless if he really wanted to. One fundamental thing to him is, that he inwardly believes himself to simply be a monster, and that idea bugs him to no end regardless of what he'll tell you. In fact, Cosmo is incredibly good at lying, and as a result, is capable of detecting lies fairly well himself. Despite this, he's very formal in nature and will often subconsciously talk with big words or seem more polite than he actually is. When he speaks, its normally with a "Mr./Miss/Misses -last name-" rather than the first name, unless they're closer to him. He always presents himself fluently, short to-the-point. In fact, this is mostly because he'd rather not speak if he doesn't need to. Despite this, he has a playful nature and will sometimes be seen teasing others or behaving with sass or cheekiness to his words. |
Cosmo is a very short person, only standing at about 4'11" in height. Similarly, his body structure is very thin and lithe, due to how underweight he is. Normally he shouldn't be only 80lbs, which is a result of him not eating enough when he probably should, and is unhealthily skinny. In fact, if one were to lift up his shirt they would see a faint outline of his rib cage from how thin he is, in fact, this is one of the many reasons he is unable to transition. He currently sports a far more feminine body than he wants, something that shows by the curviness of his body's structure and smaller height. However, with the way that he dresses, he looks like that of a young male and is quite capable of passing. His hair is naturally platinum blond, with his eyes being a result of albinism (lack of pigmentation). As a result, he constantly wears his cloak around, in hopes to block out sunlight. As a vampire, he has two long pointed fangs that barely fit in his mouth, and his eyes go from its pinkish shade to a menacing blood red when he's experiencing hunger pains. |

Cosmo’s mother had been put under the pressure to have children, start a family and get into a relationship, so she was very happy to have gotten herself a boyfriend. However, with the amount of pressure she was under she became paranoid. Paranoid that she would be abandoned, left behind by the person she fell in love with and as a result paranoid she’d be shunned by her own family for losing a future husband. So she decided to trap him into a relationship by tricking him into making her pregnant, and with the child she believed that she would be able to keep him forever. Yet, that’s not exactly how the plan turned out. Taking care of a child in such an early relationship was damaging, not only to themselves but their own health as well. So as a result of the lack of preparation for the kid, her boyfriend broke up with her. He left her alone, and she had the child to take care of by herself. It was devastating for her, but the kid she had given birth to was a ball of sunshine. The ball of sunshine was why it didn’t bother her at first, and her parents who had given her a cold look at her behavior towards keeping her boyfriend found it easy to forget that he was out of wedlock in his presence. Of course, he was actually a she, assigned female at birth and considered an absolute angel of a daughter. Time went on though, and the child named Judith began to take on very prominent similarities in appearance to the father. It bugged the mother, enough that it wore away at her inside, and the more stressed she became. She’d begin trying to avoid her child, ignoring his calls for attention and pushing her away upon coming toward her. Said ball of sunshine was incredibly confused by the sudden change of behavior by her mother. One day she even approached her about it, confused child wanting to know why their mother was trying to avoid them… and she got slapped for it. A red stinging mark across the cheek, anger in her mother’s eyes as Judith’s became wide eyed. Tears began streaming down her face, her mother was yelling at her, but she couldn’t hear her, just drowned out voices as she spaced into her own mind. Shortly after she ran upstairs, hands shaking and clearly in shock she slammed the door and dove under her bed. She huddled into a corner, hands feeling numb and heart pounding so hard in her ears that hey rang. There was no dinner that night. Eventually the mother would lead to drinking, drowning herself in her own anguish over the absence of her once-called lover. Anytime Judith would come home from school, she’d try to avoid her mother as much as she possibly could. Becoming so alike her father in appearance put so much of a toll on the mother, that it was affecting her child in a far worse fashion than she did to herself. She’d stopped packing lunches for Judith, requiring her to make her own, and needing to figure out what to eat. The first few times her bag was stuffed with the things kids would typically aim for; junk food, any sugary treat, things that typically weren’t healthy. However, after being questioned by one of the teachers for why his lunch was so unhealthy, she ended up learning that if he was packing her own lunch it’d need to be more realistic… A mother wouldn’t pack a child just sugary treats. At some point he’d stop being able to look in the mirror. His mother was making it increasingly difficult to sneak off food to school. He felt foreign in his own body. His mother kept calling him fat, a pig. Maybe he did look a bit fat? Judith was uncertain of that, but the more he had been called it the more he could only believe it was true. So the lunch forwent any sugary contents, eventually only containing a small sandwich, an apple and a drink. Did monsters really need to eat? Judith wasn’t sure. He was taken to a psychologist after a phone call was made to the mother about the strange behavior being shown in her child. He was taken to one to shut them up, only to find out that Judith was suffering from signs of dysphoria. A pang shot through the mother’s heart, looking at her child. When they got home he was immediately dragged into an empty room, one he’d seen before, and was harshly given his punishment and left there for that night; locked in the room. She’d been devastated over her daughter becoming a guy, especially when they’d already resembled her boyfriend so much. Her support towards the other was nonexistent, even as Judith continued feeling foreign and unrecognizable to himself in the mirror. To him, that wasn’t him. To him, it was someone else looking back at him. It made him feel more at ease, because despite it looking so much like him it certainly couldn’t be. Judith began to resent his mother. Irritated by what stared back at him in the reflection, he changed up his clothing regardless of what his mother had thought. At first he was too scared to dress differently, afraid he’d be taken for a beating. However, because they became so frequent now, it didn’t matter to him anymore. He’d taken his time to stay away from home now, scoffing at the idea of what his mother might try doing. She was probably happier without him there anyways. He’d gotten boy clothes, baggy enough so that he was happy with both his outer and looked more masculine to boot. He’d begin frequent exercises, if not just to prevent his mother from finding out the rats weren’t the ones eating the food at home, but to make himself look less like a female. It was obvious his mother hated this, yet he didn’t care. He couldn’t care. Monsters don’t care. He was approached by a kid at school, to help him with their studies. Judith found out for the first time that he could use his skills for something. Teachers always praised him for how smart he was, and his peers were starting to realize that the bookworm might be able to help. So, he decided to become the black market of information. Needed answers to a test? Done. Cheat sheet you can sneak into an exam? Done. Just visit the playground, away from the prying eyes of teachers at lunch period and you’d be able to spend a pretty penny to pave the easy way through school. It helped Judith severely at home, and he felt absolutely no guilt in doing it. He couldn’t feel any guilt. Monsters didn’t feel guilt. Yet the teachers caught on, to his odd behavior, to him giving answers to other students. The odd behavior from others was what got him suspended. His mother was absolutely furious, and decided that he was no longer worth the hassle. In a fit of rage she locked him in the empty room, and went downstairs to grab a bat. However, before anything could actually happen the police showed up. Records had been looked into by concerned adults, and the frequent screams in the house were called in to be investigated by the police. She was arrested, and Judith was freed from her custody. With how long the abuse had gone on, and how he lacked a reaction to his mother’s arrest, he was taken into see psychiatric help. He had taken the opportunity to change his name, taking on the name Cosmo. However due to medical reasons, he was unable to go on the hormones needed for his transition until it was resolved. Cosmo unfortunately was little help, being more interested in how far he could go with lying before he’d be caught. |
